Save the date: IDT 2022 in Vienna

In 2022, after 17 years, the IDT (Internationale Tagung für Deutsch als Fremd- und Zweitsprache) will be held in Vienna once again with ÖSD proudly being one of the main sponsors of the event.

The IDT takes place every 4 years and is the biggest education event for German as a Foreign and Second Language fostering personal and professional exchange between teachers, researchers, learners, publishers, officials and representatives of subject-related organisations. With about 3.000 attendants from around 100 countries being expected the 2022 event‘s motto „mit.sprache.teil.haben“ is a perfect fit.
The IDT 2022 is organised by ÖDaF, the Austrian Association for German as a Foreign / Second Language, on behalf of the IDV, the International German Teachers’ Association.
The preparation for the IDT 2022 already started for ÖDaF as soon as the last IDT had ended in Fribourg in 2017. It goes without saying, that ÖSD will not only contribute financially to this remarkable event. Being a member of the IDT preparatory committee as well as IDT concepts group, ÖSD managing director Manuela Glaboniat is deeply involved in organising the event.
Of course, ÖSD will also be present at the IDT with a fabulous booth where visitors can catch up on the latest news from ÖSD. We are very much looking forward to the IDT 2022 and many inspiring conversations.
