The DSK in Cairo has successfully held the first German examinations as part of the \u2018\u00d6SD school project\u2019.<\/h2>\n

This project, which has been presented in various schools since December 2023, aims to promote students learning German as a foreign language through the internationally recognised \u00d6SD German examinations. The first round of exams took place in May 2024 and was a great success.<\/p>\n

Atmosphere and organisation of German exams for children<\/h3>\n

The exams were taken by students aged 10 to 15 years old, who were selected according to the CEFR and \u00d6SD age recommendations. They came from various partner schools in Cairo, New Cairo and Sharm El Sheikh to take an international German exam directly at the \u00d6SD examination centre.<\/p>\n

Before the exam, some of the children were in an anxious mood, reports Dr Mai Hassan, Head of the DSK International Academy. A friendly welcome and a relaxed atmosphere in the waiting room with juice, water and snacks helped to reduce the children’s nervousness and exam anxiety.<\/p>\n

After the exam, the mood was much more relaxed, reports Dr Mai Hassan. The children were happy, took photos and videos and were delighted with their achievements.<\/p>\n
