Part of the \u00d6SD’s long-term vision is to make \u00d6SD exams accessible to as many people as possible worldwide. Our \u00d6SD examination <\/span>centres<\/span> play a key role in making this vision a reality.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Some of our examination <\/span>centres<\/span> are launching special projects for this purpose. <\/span>With this in mind, the<\/span> DSK International Academy in Cairo has launched the \u00d6SD school project. The aim is to offer all children in the area the opportunity to have their German language skills certified and thus promote motivation and enthusiasm for education. <\/span>We think <\/span>that’s<\/span> great and thank you for this supportive project! <\/span>What’s<\/span> it all about? Dr Mai Hassen, Head of the DSK International Academy<\/a>, reports on the project:<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What<\/span> is<\/span> the<\/span> “\u00d6SD <\/span>school<\/span> project<\/span>” – <\/span>what<\/span> makes<\/span> it<\/span> so <\/span>special<\/span>?<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

The <\/span>project<\/span> is<\/span> a <\/span>partnership<\/span> between<\/span> a <\/span>number<\/span> of<\/span> international <\/span>schools<\/span> – <\/span>initially<\/span> only<\/span> in <\/span>Cairo<\/span>, but <\/span>later<\/span> throughout<\/span> Egypt.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In Cairo, we have many international schools where German is taught as a foreign language, but there is a lack of knowledge about officially <\/span>recognised<\/span> exams. <\/span>That’s<\/span> why I set myself the goal of passing on information about the \u00d6SD exams to these <\/span>schools.<\/span><\/p>\n

Through<\/span> these partnerships, <\/span>students <\/span>who learn German as a foreign language at the school from an early age can take the \u00d6SD exams KID 1 and KID 2 with us for a small fee and receive an official certificate at the end.<\/span><\/p>\n

Who is the “\u00d6SD school project” aimed at?\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

This project is aimed at <\/span>students <\/span>aged 10 to 15 <\/span>years <\/span>who want to learn German at their schools or attend a course at our academy.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The “\u00d6SD school project” for children and young people – what is the aim?<\/h3>\n

The s<\/span>tudents<\/span> should be able to improve their communication skills and <\/span>optimise<\/span> their <\/span>future prospects<\/span> by obtaining official \u00d6SD certificates<\/a>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Based on our philosophy that every person has a unique <\/span>talent,<\/span> we strive to bring out the hidden talents and potential of each student and improve competences during the preparation for \u00d6SD exams through effective skills training.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What motivated you to become an \u00d6SD examination centre and offer international German examinations?<\/h3>\n

On the one hand, we wanted to set up an institute in Cairo to teach foreign languages and, at the same time, an examination <\/span>centre<\/span> to improve personal and professional skills. In this way, we want to enable young people to achieve excellence in areas that are relevant to them. On the other hand, the promotion of the German language through the systematic dissemination of German lessons and the communication of the prevailing cultural situation in Germany, Austria and Switzerland is particularly important to us. The basis for this is the development of an awareness of the importance of education and a broad spectrum of knowledge among children and young people so that they can live independently in society. <\/span>Last but not least<\/span>, we want to provide vocational education and training <\/span>to<\/span> the students concerned <\/span>in order to<\/span> increase their employment potential.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
